Relative Matters – The Company
Set up by Chris in 2012, Relative Matters is an independent consultancy for later life providing a comprehensive social work and occupational therapy service for families, solicitors, deputies and financial advisors supporting people who fund their own care. We provide professional independent information and advice on a range of issues, evidence based care and mental capacity assessments, arrange personalised care at home or in carefully selected care homes and design bespoke care solutions, drawing together a variety of options from our vast experience of working with older people.
“Relative Matters were excellent in finding the right care home according to the specification we had set out. Relative Matters also helped us with ensuring the NHS both assessed mum properly and complied with relevant legislation. I would heartily recommend…” M. Yates – Hove
Having managed and co-ordinated the long term care of both of her elderly parents, Chris has the unique perspective of seeing things from both sides. For Chris this involved living-in and caring directly for her father at home towards the end of his life as well as moving her mother into an appropriate care home.
Relative Matters – The Team
Relative Matters is made up of a small dedicated team of health and social care professionals, all of whom are fully insured, registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), and public disclosure certified. Working together with Chris, they present an unprecedented knowledge-base of the local care market.
Chris Moon-Willems’ book, ‘Relative Matters’ was written strategically to help people navigate the complex care system. ‘Relative Matters’ is available at Amazon.co.uk
“Chris Moon-Willems has spent what amounts to a lifetime working in the health and care industry, and by golly does it show! Anyone who has elderly relatives or friends in need of increasing help and care would benefit greatly from the insight this marvellous book will give them…” Madjanner.
