Choosing a care or nursing home

CONTACT RELATIVE MATTERS TODAY

When an older person can no longer stay in their own home, needs convalescence, a nursing home, or to give their carer a short break, our experienced consultants support everyone involved to consider the range of options available.

We will meet with the person needing care, together with their family member, or representative, to discuss the criteria upon which to base our research.

To ensure we tailor our advice to meet each person’s unique needs, we develop a profile of things that are important to the person and carry out a full care and financial assessment. Whether the care needs to be residential, nursing, dementia care or a dementia nursing home, we check that the care providers identified have a Good or Outstanding rating from the CQC before writing a report for you including a short list of potential providers and additional information tailored to assist you with making the right choice. This method ensures that the most appropriate care solution can be chosen with confidence.

The consultation includes emails, phone calls and travel costs within a 10-mile radius of our registered Worthing office.

Our unrivalled knowledge of the care home market, personal approach, level of support and flexibility, in helping you through this process, is matched only by our excellent service.

“Chris from Relative Matters was worth her weight in gold to me when she helped me find a nursing home for my friend who was in a hospital. She assessed my friend in the hospital, advised me of the options and pitfalls, produced a shortlist of suitable nursing homes for me to choose from and finalised details when I had chosen the best one. Chris also checked my friend had settled in OK when I was away on holiday and sent me a text which was very reassuring.”
